PARTICIPATE
VOLUNTEERS

This festival is designed to be a multi-tiered collaborative initiative. Our mission is to advance dynamic programming designed to engage and stimulate the photography community of Los Angeles.

Month of Photography Los Angeles is seeking positive, energetic, and self-motivated Los Angeles based volunteers to assist with one program of MOPLA’s calendar: Lost Rolls America; on the dates of April 11th-16th, 2018.

Event description: Lost Rolls America – a unique, new public history archive launched by award-winning photojournalist Ron Haviv – asks Americans to dig through their junk drawers and basement boxes to find forgotten, undeveloped rolls of film that will become part of a digital national database of personal visual stories and memories. This work comes to life in an exhibition during Month of Photography Los Angeles in April 2018.

The responsibilities of MOPLA Volunteers will be to assist with install and de-install of the Lost Rolls Camper, staff the Camper, and answer questions of exhibition visitors. We seek 2 volunteers to support each shift.

Schedule:

Wednesday, April 11th: Installation Assistance (6-hour shift)

Thursday, April 12th: Staff Exhibition (4-hour shift from 6pm to 10pm)

Friday, April 13th: Staff Exhibition (2 shifts: 10am to 3:30pm, 3:30pm to 9pm)

Sunday, April 15th: Staff Exhibition (2 shifts: 10am to 2pm, 2pm to 6pm)
